The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPS) at Monash University is hosting a virtual employability expo - exclusively online and open to Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science students.

Monday 17 April will focus on preparing fourth year Pharmacy students for their internship year in 2024, while the remaining days will showcase the wide range of Pharmaceutical Science placement opportunities, career paths, and options for further study and research.

Check out intern support organisations, along with prospective employers and internship opportunities to aim for during your Intern Training Program and Intern Foundation Program year in 2024. This session will target current fourth year Pharmacy students, who can connect with participating organisations in the Pharmacy exhibit hall.

Connect with placement providers and other organisations in the Pharmaceutical Science exhibit hall from a variety of different industries, and learn more about the research and further study opportunities within the faculty.

Dose of Pharma Event (LT3): Deep Dives into Pharmacy Pathways


Join Dose of Pharma at this event during Employability Expo week where we will be diving deep into the pharmacy pathways.

We will be chatting with a few guest speakers about their pharmacy experience, exploring the pathways of community and clinical pharmacy, and so much more. Come along if you are interested in learning more about the opportunities studying pharmacy can offer.

PIES Virtual Event: Lead with LinkedIn for International Students

Join PIES during the Employability Expo for a Lead with LinkedIn Masterclass by pharmaceutical science graduate & alumni, Christine Tolotchkov, and international student graduate creator, Tarzon Budhathoki (he/him).

Going through university while using LinkedIn, Christine and Tarzon will be sharing all their tips and tricks for setting up your LinkedIn profile, connecting with peers and future employers, and optimising the use of LinkedIn as an international student. Can't wait to see you there!

PSS and MPSU Virtual event: Honours and PhD Panel


Interested in a career in research? Hear from the experts about what it’s like to complete a PhD or undertake an honours year during this Honours/PhD Panel. This virtual event is not to be missed! Panellists from across the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (specifically Drug Delivery, Disposition and Dynamics, Drug Discovery Biology, and Medicinal Chemistry) will detail the pathway through their Honours year (7-8pm) and conclude with a Q&A after the Honours presentation. The same structure is as followed for the PhD session (8-9pm) so prepare any and all questions you have about the research journey!

Career Connect and PPA Event (Cossar Hall): Effective Networking


Attention Postgraduate students, particularly MPharmSci students... this one's for you!

Career Connect is teaming up with Parkville Postgraduate Association to provide postgraduate students, particularly MPharmSci students, the opportunity to learn the tips to overcome the common barriers to networking. With LinkedIn reporting 80% of professionals consider networking important to career success and with 70% of people getting their current job through networking, experienced Career Connect Facilitator, Leanne Delis, will take you through why it's a necessary skill to help you get hired and grow your career.

This interactive session will be delivered in-person and will give you the opportunity to get involved, improving your understanding and enjoyment! Not only will you take away some valuable networking tips, but there will also be the chance to apply your learning through peer to peer activities.
